Aluminum ferrules manufactured to DIN 3093 are oval-shaped compression sleeves used for forming secure terminations on wire ropes and steel cables. They are installed by inserting the rope end(s) through the ferrule and swaging with a hydraulic or mechanical press to create a permanent, load-bearing eye or splice.
